Trinity Comics ® started in 2003, formed by the trio of Frank Dirscherl, John Jett and Craig Shepard, as a way to create and release the kinds of comics we all grew up reading and loving, and now wanting to create ourselves. The Wraith Dread Avenger of the Underworld ® is just such a character.
Now, the company has branched out into prose novels and into all forms of merchandising. Even a live action film on DVD, while new characters and stories are in the offing. The sky truly is the limit! Trinity Comics - Where Quality Counts ™
The Wraith Dread Avenger of the Underworld ® is a character very dear to my heart. Created in 1998 as my way of combining the styles of storytelling I grew up with, namely 1970s/80s comic books (think Denny O'Neil, Steve Englehart, Gerry Conway, Frank Robbins and the like) and 1940s pulp novels (eg. the Shadow and, especially, the Spider). The Wraith is a mix of them, and was created as a sort of panacea against the growing tide of woeful comic book storytelling from the major publishers (DC/Marvel) from the 1990s onwards. Today, their comics are virtually unreadable. The Wraith was born to offer a look-back at a better era of storytelling, and is presented to readers in both comic book and novel formats to cater to fans of both genres.
